3 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. light corn syrup
2 c. peanuts
1/4 tbsp. red food coloring
1/2 stick butter
Pinch of salt

Bring sugar, water, and syrup to boil. Add peanuts and coloring. Cook until hard ball stage Remove from heat; add butter and salt. Beat until mixture begins to thicken.

Pour onto greased cookie sheet. Break into pieces when cool. Use greased pie pans if you want round patties.
