2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
Dash salt
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 1/2 c. raw peanuts
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
5-6 drops red food coloring

Combine first 4 ingredients in 2 quart glass bowl. Bring to boil in microwave (3 minutes). Stir and add peanuts - return to microwave and cook 8 to 10 minutes (soft ball stage). Remove from microwave - add butter, vanilla and food coloring. Let cool - beating occasionally until creamy. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet or waxed paper.
