FAVORITE BUTTERNUT SQUASH 
4 c. cubed squash
2 c. chopped apples
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of salt
1/2 c. nuts

Melt 3 tablespoons butter and combine with sugar, salt, cinnamon and nuts. Layer squash in casserole, drizzle with butter-sugar mixture, layer of apples, drizzle, layer of squash, drizzle, layer of apples. Dot with the 1/4 cup butter. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes (until squash is soft).
