1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light molasses
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. vinegar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Popsicle sticks

Cream together shortening, sugar, and molasses. Stir in milk and vinegar. Sift together flour, soda, salt, ginger, and cinnamon. Stir in molasses mixture. Drop by tablespoon about 2 1/2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheets. Insert popsicle stick about 1/2 way into mound of dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Decorate with M & M's to look like faces. Makes 2 dozen.
