SUGAR COOKIES | |
3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. cinnamon 1 c. soft butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla Salad oil Granulated sugar Sift flour, salt and cinnamon together; set aside. In large bowl, beat butter, 1 cup sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture, stirring until well blended. Refrigerate 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Using hands, roll dough into balls 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Place 2 inches apart, on greased cookie sheets. Flatten with bottom of glass brushed with salad oil, then dipped in sugar. (Redip bottom of glass in sugar frequently.) Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire rack; cool. Makes 5 dozen. |
