CHOCOLATE CHIPPERS 
1 c. shortening or butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture; blend well. Add chocolate chips. Drop from teaspoons 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate 375 degree oven for 9 to 10 minutes. Remove from sheet immediately. Makes 3 dozen.
