VEAL OR CHICKEN MARENGO 
2 lbs. veal or chicken (boneless), cut into cubes
3 med. onions
2 c. water
1 bouillon cube
10 juniper berries
4 tbsp. black currant jam
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. chopped parsley

Saute (brown) meat on all sides. Brown onions. Add water, berries, and jam. Cover tightly and simmer 1 hour. Stir in sour cream and parsley. (Do not boil.) Reheat gently. Serve with rice or pink potatoes.
