1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. cocoa
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo
1 tbsp. Crisco

Cook on medium heat, stir until boiling and then do not stir again. Test for firm ball. Remove from fire and add 3 tablespoons butter. Cool, add 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat until dull. Add 1 cup nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
