OATMEAL REFRIGERATOR ROLLS 
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 1/2 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
5 - 5 1/2 c. flour
2 eggs

Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Pour milk over shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in eggs and 1 cup flour. Add yeast. Fold in oatmeal. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead until satiny. Cover and let rise about 1 hour. Punch down. Shape into rolls. Bake 15 minutes in 400 degree oven. Makes 5-6 dozen.

If refrigerated, do so after you punch it down. Cover with waxed paper and damp cloth.
