SR. CLAMENCIA'S SUGAR COOKIE 
1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. Crisco oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/3 c. flour

Cream sugar, oil, butter, and eggs. Add salt, soda, cream of tartar and vanilla. Add flour. Mix well; chill dough for 1 hour or more. Form 1 inch balls. Use the bottom of a designed glass or jar, dipped in sugar and press balls down to size desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
