CRISP SUGAR COOKIE 
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. Crisco oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix together powdered sugar, sugar, butter and oil. Add eggs and vanilla and beat.

Add flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Mix well. Chill overnight. Take about a teaspoon of dough and shape into a walnut size ball, roll in sugar. Place on a cookie sheet; press down with flat bottom glass dipped in sugar.

Bake at 350 degrees 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly browned. Freeze well.
