MOIST OATMEAL COOKIES 
Cook 1 cup raisins with a little water until tender so there will be 1/4 cup left.

1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 c. flour
2 eggs
2 c. rolled oats
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda added to raisin juice

Mix well with the other ingredients. Drop by teaspoon on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake about 15 minutes in moderate oven.
