FRIED DUMPLINGS | |
Ground pork or ground beef Chopped cabbage or chopped napa 2-3 tbsp. chopped green onion 1 tsp. chopped ginger 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. Accent 2 tbsp. sesame oil Dumpling skins Place pork in bowl. Add chopped cabbage, green onion, ginger, salt, Accent and sesame oil. Mix thoroughly until thickened. Put 1 tablespoon filling on center of dumpling skin. Fold over to make a half circle. Pinch edges together. Carefully stretch skin a little longer. Heat frying pan until very hot. Add 2 tablespoons oil. When oil is hot, add dumplings to cover the bottom of the pan. Dumplings should not overlap. Cook until bottom of dumplings are golden (about 1 minute). Add 2/3 cup water. Cover and cook until water has evaporated. Remove from pan. Arrange attractively on plate to serve. Do not add ginger when making won-ton. |
