CZECHOSLOVAKIAN COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. strawberry jam

Cream butter until soft. Gradually add sugar; cream well. Add egg yolks and mix. Stir in flour and nuts. Spoon half batter into greased 8 inch square pan. Spread with jam. Cover with remaining dough. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cool and cut into 1 x 2 inch bars. Very rich. Makes 2 1/2 dozen bar cookies.
