TOURTIERE 
3/4 lb. ground beef
3/4 lb. ground pork
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
1 c. mashed potatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. sage

In the saucepan combine the beef, pork, onion and one half cup of water; mix well and cook. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add mashed potatoes to the meat mixture along with the spices. Blend well. Place bottom crust in a 9 inch pan, place the mixture in the pan, cover with a top crust. Snip 3 or 4 slits near the center to allow steam to escape. Bake in oven set at 450 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 6 servings.
