SPAGHETTI SUPER SAUCE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork, sausage, or Italian sausage
1 qt. stewed tomatoes
2 sm. cans tomato paste
1 lg. yellow onion
5 cloves garlic
1 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. rubbed Italian spice OR 2 tbsp. oregano, 1/2 tbsp. rosemary, 1/4 tbsp. marjoram, 1/4 tbsp. basil or thyme
1 c. red wine

Saute onion, minced, in olive oil until transparent. Brown ground beef and sausage until uniformly brown. Add tomato paste and mix well. Add stewed tomatoes and mix well. Add spices and salt to taste. Add garlic, either pressed or finely sliced. Add wine during cooking to keep consistency of sauce. Simmer at low heat about 1 hour, then serve. Better the next day too.
