BUTTERMILK CAKE 
1 lb. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk

Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter with pastry blender, save 1 cup for topping. To the remaining mixture add egg, vanilla, baking soda and buttermilk. Stir lightly.

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle on topping.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
