TURKEY CHILI | |
1 lb. ground turkey 1 med. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes 1 (1 lb.) can ranch style beans 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. powdered oregano 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika 2 tbsp. chili powder 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper Saltine crackers Cook meat and onion in a skillet until meat is lightly browned and onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Cover and simmer for about 1 hour. Add water if necessary to achieve the desired consistency. Eat with crackers or serve over rice. Nutritious - lower in fat. |
