MICROWAVE CARAMEL POPCORN 
4 qt. popped corn
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. Spanish peanuts; optional

Divide popcorn into 2 glass or other microwavable bowls. Melt butter on high 1 minute. Stir in syrup, sugar, and salt. Microwave 2 minutes. (Stir after 1 minute.) Stir again at end of time, then microwave 1-2 more minutes or until hard ball stage. Stir in vanilla and soda. Pour over popcorn. Microwave 1 minute, stir, cook another minute and stir, spread, and cool. Repeat with second bowl.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
