4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. M&M'S®
2/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt

Melt chocolate and shortening in 3 quart saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat. Mix in sugar, vanilla and eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients, except candy. Spread in greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle with M&M'S®, press lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull from sides of pan.
