APPLE/SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour cream
1 lg. or 2 small apples, peeled, cored and chopped

Heat oven to 350°F.

In bowl, combine 1/2 cup sugar, nuts and cinnamon.

In another bowl, cream butter and 1 cup sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add flour and sour cream alternately and beat slowly. Add vanilla.

Add 1/2 of the batter to a well greased and floured tube pan; then add 1/2 apples and nuts. Add remaining batter, apples and nuts.

Bake for 40 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Very delicious.Comes out perfect - I baked for 50 minutes and let it set in pan for 10 minutes and then added some powdered sugar to the top.
