HEALTHY CEREAL BALLS | |
Great for a breakfast on-the-go or snacks for the kids. Best served warm. 1/2 cup bran cereal 1/2 cup honey nut Cheerios 1/2 cup Special K cereal 1 cup maple brown sugar oatmeal dash of cinnamon dash of nutmeg 1 tbsp. canola oil (or egg white) 1-2 tbsp. honey 1-2 tsp. vanilla extract 3 tbsp. melted butter 1 tbsp. brown sugar Splenda (sugar substitute), to taste nuts, to taste (almonds, walnuts or pecans recommended) dash of pumpkin pie seasoning (optional) Mash and crunch cereal into small pieces. Add oatmeal, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix liquids together, along with remaining ingredients (brown sugar, etc.). Whisk together. Pour liquid mix over oat mix and stir well. Form balls with the mix and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Enjoy! :) Yummy when dipped in honey! Submitted by: Jazmina :) |
