VINEGAR PIE CRUST | |
1 tsp. white vinegar 1 egg, beaten 7 tbsp. water 1 tsp. salt 1 c. plus 2 tbsp. shortening 3 c. flour Blend vinegar and beaten egg; add water and salt. Cut shortening into flour with pastry blender. Combine the 2 mixtures. Chill, if possible, before rolling out. Yields 25 fried pies. |
