RED CANDY APPLE RINGS | |
12 apples 1 c. sugar 8 c. water 4 tsp. red food coloring 3 tsp. cinnamon Wash apples, core, peel (sometimes leave on peel). Cut in slices 3/8 inch thick. Bring all ingredients to a boil. Add apple slices and boil until tender but firm. Remove from heat. Let cool. Pack into Kerr jars within 1/2 inch from top apples and juice. Put on cap. Screw band down firmly. Process in a water bath: Pint jars for 25 minutes. Quart jars for 25 minutes. Make sure lid seals. |
