FISH STEW 
2 lbs. potatoes, peeled, cubed
1/2 lb. salt pork in sm. pieces
1 pod dry red pepper
2 onions, diced

Fry pork in a heavy pot. Add water to cover after layers of potatoes, onions, then fish. Cook 1/2 hour covered. Do not stir. To thicken, add mixture of 1/4 cup corn meal and 1/2 cup water over the top.

BLUE HARD SHELL CRAB STEW:

3 doz. cleaned crabs
1 pod dry red pepper
Salt, pepper
1/2 lb. salt pork in sm. pieces, fried as in fish stew
6 potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 c. water
1 onion, cubed
