GREAT GRANDMA'S COCOA FROSTING
(1915)
 
2/3 c. cocoa
1/2 c. boiling water
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Stir cocoa and water to make paste. Add sugar, butter and vanilla. Mix good and spread on cake. Orange juice used for liquid is also good.
