1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. walnuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift dry ingredients. Melt shortening with chocolate. Beat sugar and eggs and add chocolate mixture. Blend. Add dry ingredients, nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into greased 9x13x2 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool and cut; serve warm or cooled.
