SEAFOOD GUMBO 
In large pot (holds 3 gallons or more), heat 1 gallon water and 2 packages instant onion soup.

In a large iron skillet, make a roux by browning 8 tablespoons and 6 tablespoons bacon fat. Stir constantly. Cook until brown and smells burnt. Lower heat, add: 1 minced green pepper 1 cup celery 1 bag frozen okra

Simmer until tender. Add: 1 tsp. garlic powder

Simmer 20 minutes. Then mash and add to onion soup mixture. Add: 4 to 6 cans crab meat 1 sm. box rice 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper Tabasco sauce to taste 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. pickling spice 6 tbsp. Old Bay seafood seasoning 1 tbsp. garlic powder

Add water for desired consistency. Simmer 20 minutes. Then add 2 tablespoons file. Simmer at least 1 hour or more before serving. Stir occasionally.
