SEAFOOD AND OKRA GUMBO 
2 lbs. cleaned and deveined shrimp
1 qt. oysters with liquid
1/2 dozen med. crabs
1/2 lb. butter
6 oz. tomato paste
1 tbsp. granulated garlic
1/2 tsp. sweet basil
2 c. onions
2 c. bell pepper and celery
1 c. shallots and parsley
4 qt. water
Salt and pepper to taste

Boil crabs in 2 quarts water and set aside. Chop the okra, onions, bell pepper and celery. Fry with butter. Add shrimp and simmer for 5 minutes. Add crabs with broth and remaining water. Cook for 45 minutes. Then add finely chopped shallots, parsley and oysters. Cook covered for 15 minutes.
