RICE PUDDING 
1/2 c. River Rice
1 1/2 c. water
1 qt. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins (plumped)

Boil rice in water until water is gone. Pour milk and sugar in 2 quart baking dish and stir in cooked rice.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. During cooking, remove baked milk crust with spoon. Then stir. When rice stays on top remove from oven, add vanilla and raisins. Cool and serve.
