1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
4 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter, sugar, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla together. Sift soda, salt, baking powder, and flour. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Press them down with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
