3 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter (not diet)
1 1/2 c. plain flour
Mix cheese and butter by mashing with a fork. Add the flour and mix well and make into ball. Cover and chill about an hour. (Longer is okay but the dough will be stiff and a little hard to work with.) Approximately a 7 ounce jar of nice stuffed green olives. Drain the olives really well and set on a paper towel to drain more. Pinch off a plug of dough about the size of a large marble, flatten it in your (well washed of course) hand and place an olive in the center. Wrap the dough about the olive so that no green shows. Bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees until golden brown. I always make these in advance and freeze them. When you have them made, put them on a cookie tin which is covered with wax paper. Place them in the freezer about 15 minutes until frozen then transfer them to a zip lock freezer bag or plastic container. Once they are frozen they won't stick together. Then you can use part of them at a time or all for a party. You can cook them frozen, just know that it will take about ten minutes or so longer to get golden brown. (It takes about 30 minutes to cover the olives with the dough.)
