FRAN'S HAMBURGER GOULASH 
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck or sirloin
1 lb. carrots, peeled & coin sliced
6 stalks celery, sliced
5-6 med. potatoes, peeled & sliced 1/4"
2 med. onions, sliced in rings
1 plastic bag frozen peas
1 can tomato soup
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. shredded med. sharp cheddar cheese
Garlic salt & pepper to taste

In large roaster (20" to 24") put 4 to 5 dabs of butter on bottom. Layer raw potatoes in bottom; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Spread raw meat over potatoes to try and cover. Separate onions into rings and spread over meat. Lightly salt and pepper. Spread sliced carrots and celery over meat and onion rings. Mix tomato soup, sauce and cheddar cheese, pour over all. Put lid on and bake at 325 degrees 1 hour; spread frozen peas over top and bake additional 1/2 to 1 hour. Serves 5 to 6.
