NANTUCKET APPLE PIE 
Apples
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, melted
Walnuts or cranberries (optional)

Grease 10 inch pie plate. Dice raw apples until pie plate is full. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apples. Mix together the eggs, flour, sugar then pour the melted butter in this mixture. Mix well. Pour over apples, smooth out evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Can also use batter mixture with pie filling.
