3 c. unsifted flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. mayonnaise
1/3 c. milk
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. chopped apples
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
Whipping cream

Grease and flour two 9 inch round pans. Mix first 10 ingredients at low speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl frequently (batter is very thick). With spoon, stir in apples, raisins and nuts.

Spoon batter into pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 minutes. Remove, cool. Fill and frost with 2 cups whipped cream.
