HEARTY BEAN SALAD 
2 (No. 2) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
3 pickles (sweet-dill) chopped
1 sm. onion, minced
1/4 c. diced celery
1/4 c. mayonnaise or commercial sour cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1 hard-cooked egg, diced
1 head lettuce

Combine all ingredients with the mayonnaise. Chill.

Place on a nest of lettuce leaves and garnish with more diced hard-cooked egg, if desired.
