3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

Cream together all ingredients except flour. Blend in flour until a dough forms. Shape into balls about the size of a walnut. Put on cookie sheet and flatten with back of a water glass dipped into sugar. Sprinkle with a bit more sugar and bake at 375 degrees for 9-12 minutes.
