1 can lye 6 c. cold water 1/2 c. Borax 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. household ammonia 11 c. strained fat 2 oz. Lysol Mix lye and cold water and let cool. Then add remaining ingredients and stir until soap begins to thicken (about 5 minutes). Pour into pan (glass or enamel). After soap sets, cut into squares. After it cures, about 10 days, it can be grated into soap flakes. |
