NEW ENGLAND BROWN BREAD 
2 c. corn meal
2 c. white flour
2 tsp. baking soda
enough sour milk to make runny
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt
raisins (if desired)

Mix all together. Pour into tin cans (old vegetable or fruit cans). Steam for 4 to 5 hours.
