DIOS TORTA 
12 eggs
12 tbsp. sugar
12 tbsp. plain bread crumbs
12 tbsp. walnuts, ground fine
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking powder

Separate yolks from the whites. Beat yolks about 10 minutes, then add sugar slowly. Still beating, add all ingredients slowly, continue beating. Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Fold egg whites into the mixture. Bake in an 8 inch cake pan for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

FROSTING:

1 egg
1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
3 level tbsp. flour

Mix and heat over the stove until it thickens. Stir often to keep from scorching. LET COOL. Mix: 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Spoon while mixing cold mixture of egg, sugar, flour, adding powdered sugar slowly, still beating. Add more powdered sugar to make icing thicker and easier to spread on the cake.
