SAND TARTS 
2 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
4 c. sifted flour
1 egg whites, slightly beaten
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
Chopped pecans

Cream butter, add sugar gradually. Add eggs in thirds, beating well after each addition. Add flour in fourths. Chill dough overnight. Roll to 1/16 inch thick. Cut into desired shape. Brush each cookie with egg white, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and then chopped pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 9 minutes. (Dough is very soft and difficult to handle.)
