GRAMP'S DOUGHNUTS 
8 eggs
4 tsp. baking powder
4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. lard
4 tsp. nutmeg
4 tsp. ginger
4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
Flour, enough to handle, about 12 c.

Cream sugar and lard. Add eggs, buttermilk, soda and baking powder. Stir and add seasonings. Then add the flour. Put on floured board and roll and cut. Fry in pure hot lard.
