CABBAGE ROLLS | |
6 lg. cabbage leaves 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 lb. ground pork 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. chili sauce 1/4 c. onion, chopped 1 egg, beaten 1/2 c. uncooked rice 2 c. hot water 1 lb. can tomatoes 1 tbsp. brown sugar Cook cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2 minutes. Combine other ingredients, except tomatoes, water, brown sugar and mix well. Spoon mix on cabbage leaves, roll up, and fasten with toothpicks. Arrange in a covered baking dish. Pour water, tomatoes and brown sugar over rolls. Bake for 1 hour at 400 degrees. Serves 6. |
