TANGY VEGETABLE SALAD 
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. oil
1 tbsp. water
1/2 c. vinegar
Dash of paprika
1 can French style string beans
1 can petit pois peas
4 stalks celery, chopped
1 onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced
1 sm. can pimentos, chopped

Drain string beans and petit pos well. Mix salt, sugar, oil, water, vinegar and add paprika. Pour over string beans, peas, celery, onions, green pepper and pimentos. Mix well. Cover, chill in refrigerator overnight. Drain well 1 hour before serving. Serve chilled on lettuce leaves.
