FILLED RAISIN COOKIES 
Cream together:

3 c. brown sugar
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Add:

1 c. milk alternately with
3 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. cream of tartar
7 c. flour

Chill dough. Bake at 350 degrees on lightly greased cookie sheet.

FILLING:

1 lb. raisins
3 c. water
1 c. sugar

Cook slowly. When plump thicken with about 1/4 or 1/3 cup cornstarch.
