LINGUINI WITH (CREAMY) CLAM
SAUCE
 
Linguini noodles, cooked as per instructions on box
1 pt. minced clams
2 tbsp. butter
5 to 6 cloves garlic
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tbsp. parsley
3/4 c. olive oil
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. oregano
3/4 tsp. pepper

In large skillet heat olive oil, simmer sliced garlic cloves (don't let brown) approximately 5 minutes. Remove garlic. Add clams and cook 7 to 10 minutes. Add water, simmer 5 minutes. Add salt, oregano, pepper, parsley. Cover and let simmer while you melt 2 tablespoons butter and add 3 tablespoons flour. Add to clam mixture, stirring constantly to thicken. Serve over linguini with garlic toast and Parmesan cheese.
