APPLE CRISP 
Oven temperature at 350 degrees.

5 c. cored, peeled apple slices
1 c. sugar or 1/2 c. honey
1/2 c. butter
1 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 chopped walnuts or almonds

1. Combine apple slices and 1 cup sugar in bottom of a 2 quart casserole.

2. Mix butter, oats, flour, brown sugar and walnuts.

3. Sprinkle butter-oat mixture over apple combination. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 1 hour until topping is browned and apples are tender.

4. Serve warm, plain or topped with a small spoonful of ice cream. Makes 6 servings.
