HAMBURG CASSEROLE SUPPER 
4-6 slices cubed bacon
1 lb. ground beef
Sliced potatoes, peeled
Sliced thick carrots
Sliced or diced onions
Diced green pepper
1/2 c. water
Salt & pepper

Fry bacon in skillet, place hamburg patties on bacon. Brown one side, turn patties and place onion on top. On top of meat place layers of potatoes, carrots and onion. Sprinkle with green pepper. Add 1/2 cup water and seasonings. Cover tightly and cook slowly until potatoes and carrots are tender. Before serving dot surface with butter to melt through. Serve in skillet.
