EASY TOFFEE BARS 
Line bottom of 13 x 9 inch pan with aluminum foil. Layer with saltine crackers on bottom of pan. In saucepan, combine:

1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt and blend ingredients. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Pour over saltines, spread mixture. Bake at 400 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Do not let sugar burn.

Remove from oven, cool for 3 minutes. Sprinkle 12 ounce package of chocolate chips over top. Spread chocolate as they start to melt. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Break into pieces.
