OATMEAL TOFFEE BARS 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
1 c. finely chopped walnuts, divided
1 (11 1/2 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) milk chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl combine butter, sugar and brown sugar; beat until creamy. Add egg yolks and vanilla extract, beat well. Gradually blend in flour. Stir in oats and 1/2 cup nuts.

Spread into lightly greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan. Bake 20 minutes. Immediately sprinkle milk chocolate chips over cookie layer; let stand 5 minutes or until morsels are shiny and soft. Spread chocolate evenly over cookie layer. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Chill 10 minutes. Cut into 2 x 1 inch bars. Makes 75 bars.
